iPod Tribbles

The Trouble With iPods

(from an Ian Sager story in Businessweek)

Designed by graphic artist Debbie Ann, Hotromz iPod cases are made by hand. They come in countless colors and sizes, and no two are exactly alike. We think they bear an uncanny resemblance to the small, furry Tribbles featured in the original Star Trek series in 1967.

I hope they don't multiply like Tribbles. They look hideous.

So that's what a tribble in a blender looks like - never got the urge to try it myself...

Hiya, Spocko!

People actually pay money for those nasty, hairy little bags?

On purpose?

They are precisely like the uber-trendy scarves worn by hip urban chicks all over last fall. I had one (despite being utterly un-hip) and all I can say is, they shed like a sonufabitch. I'll leave the iTribbles to the girly girls. I'll stick with my nice black leather, thanks!

I had an official Star Trek tribble pattern back in junior high. I actually made tribbles for friends... ah yes, the childhood of a geek! :-)

Hey, Spocko... Are you up for helping me with a project? The media columnist at the otherwise unobjectionable Toronto Star has been kissing Charles "Little Green Racists" Johnson's ass and claiming that no one in the left blogosphere has been talking about either the Reuters photo doctoring thing or Israel/Lebanon. Hah! Original source article here, and I wrote about it here.

Specific cites would be nice, as would some nice polite letters to the editor. Zerbisias' clue server has been suffering from bit rot for ages, and it's about time she got told to reboot the thing.
