Time Traveling Vulcan

If you can't find a gravity well as big as the sun to slingshot you into the past or get back to the future, you can use one of these from the good folks at Think Geek.

As they helpfully remind us, Flux Capacitors need "1.21 gigawatts (pronounced and written in the script as "jigowatts," which was the accepted pronunciation at the time) to actually travel in time."

Oh, and if you want to get your 1.21 gigawatts from some nuclear wessels, we now know a few places that they do not and did NOT exist. But remember, in this American time line we are all guilty until proven innocent, so be careful.

Saw your comment on Digby's and had to visit.

I think the majority of republicans do not want us dead; they are turning libertarian.

Smaller govt, less worldwide wars and interventions...

In other words, they are going back to what conservative REALLY means.

I am ok with that.

According to John Titor, it's field strength application, with a dual particle singularity field generator, not size or intensity.

Also, Titor suggested (with his device, anyway) true time travel was impossible, but you could slip into the past of a very similar universe- and return to another very similar to your own.

You can see the problems with this approach: the returning time traveller isn't exactly the same one that left, nor is "home" really ever quite the same.

Perhaps this is another case where the bug may turn out to be a feature of the program.

But if anyone really believes the Republicans will ever really be for smaller militaries and less war, may I suggest they may have accidently enountered two top-spin, dual-positive singularities that produce a standard off-set Tipler sinusoid.

The conservatives may have Really been that way in the universe of your birth, but in this one they've always been bigoted, money-grubbing warmongers.

Kelley B!

I like the dual universe theory, I often times think that we are living in the won where Gore didn't get elected. I have a coin where President Gore is one side and "President Bush" is on the other. I think that maybe if I flipped it and it lands on end I'll slip into a world where Gore IS the President. It will be interesting. However I might end up returning to a world in which Rudy Julieannie is the president!
